Living Longer Younger

The Fraum Center’s Global Healthcare Advocacy Program

When was the last time you had a half an hour one-on-one sit-down with your doctor? It’s highly likely that most of us spend more time on Facebook in a single day than we get to spend in conversation with our personal physician in a year’s time. The standard Primary Care Physician is held to quotas that require allocating six minutes per patient, resulting in fleeting “here’s what hurts” exchanges and “take two of these” prescriptions. Efficiency does not equal excellence. Not to mention, this fast-food approach to health and well-being usually comes with a waitlist of 2 to 3 months.

This reactionary, retroactive style does little for your health but put a proverbial Band-Aid on your issues. This is the business model of western medicine and most think there’s nothing that can be done about that but the work we do at the Fraum Center for Restorative Health IS “what can be done about that.”

After 30+ years of developing new ways to, “support the body’s own powers of healing with Chiropractic services and Restorative Therapies,” the Fraum center has now added a Global Healthcare Advocate Professional to the list of exclusive benefits.

“We have taken the past three years to refine our work in Global Healthcare Advocate program,” says Dr. Fraum, “which we’re still refining and aligning with a widespread healthcare movement – the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine  (A4M) – which is changing the face of modern medicine.”

As described on the A4M website, “Through close partnerships and collaborations, A4M/MMI seeks to further redefine the landscape of modern medicine. By establishing these associations with noteworthy, recognized organizations and establishments, we can collectively further educational awareness, and teach practitioners best practices in integrative care.”

At Fraum, Dr. Heather Hinshelwood, MD (“Dr. H.”) is currently completing a fellowship with A4M in anti-aging, metabolic & functional medicine and focusing on discovering underlying issues, creating a plan, and relentlessly pursuing a successful outcome for patients. As the Fraum Global Healthcare Advocate Professional, Dr. H. can, “formulate a proactive, planned and guided approach to achieving optimum health and vitality for you to live the life you love by living younger, longer.”

Fraum’s 30-minute private consultation can provide you with the starting points to optimizing your health with a customized, personalized primary care solution. You get a one-on-one session to look at your global health and work with your advocate on opportunities to be proactive and equip you to “live the life you love.”

Dr. H. emphasizes the impact of simple lifestyle changes like exercise and nutrition explaining, “We think of food as medicine, and regarding fitness, once a body stops moving, it takes a dozen well trained professionals to keep the body going. If you don’t move, I don’t have enough drugs or caretakers in the world to keep your body functioning normally.” But keeping you functioning at your greatest potential is the goal of the program, beginning with a personal consultation. “You tell me what your goals are,” Dr. H. says, “and we lay out a personalized plan to make that happen – we look at your medications, vital signs, conditions, diet, physical fitness, and lifestyle, and make adjustments to get you LIVING LONGER YOUNGER.”

With advances in telehealth you don’t have to be on-island at Fraum’s Hilton Head location. You can have labs taken wherever you are geographically located and still reap the benefits of your Global Healthcare Advocate’s expertise and personal care.

A4M is “comprised of over 26,000 members across the globe, including physicians, health care practitioners, scientists, and governmental officials, all of whom collectively represent over 120 nations.” The benefit of this global thought leadership comes together in a personalized advance care program customized and cultivated for Fraum clientele.
