Fraum Center CEO, Henry Criss, selected for Leadership South Carolina

The Fraum Center is proud to announce that Henry Criss, our Chief Executive Officer, was recently selected as a member of the Leadership South Carolina Class of 2025.

Leadership South Carolina is the state’s oldest and the most recognized leadership development programs in the country, created by Governor Dick Riley in 1979. Leadership SC is dedicated to educating and enlightening highly motivated people who have demonstrated commitment and service to their community and are striving to reach a higher level of service to the benefit of the Palmetto State. The program nurtures a deeper sense of service and civic engagement for the betterment of all South Carolinians.

The Class of 2025 will be the 45th class since the program’s founding. New members of Leadership SC participate in an 8-month program that includes monthly classes, a special project, and community enrichment activities. Candidates are chosen based on an application and interview that examines their civic involvement, aptitude for leadership, diversity of perspective, and commitment to the betterment of our state.

Henry is a proven executive leader with 20+ years of multi-sector leadership experience who embraces a servant-leadership model where members of the team are empowered to live up to their full potential and have the most positive impact on the organization's objectives. He is a Marine Corps veteran, a former public manager, and the presently serves as the CEO of the Fraum Center on Hilton Head Island, the region‘s leading provider of restorative medicine and proactive wellness care.

Henry has extensive experience in leading organizational change, healthcare management, public policy work, as well as grant management and accounting. He is also committed to serving his community, as a member of Board of Directors of the Hilton Head Island - VanLandham Rotary Club, the Board of Regrets of the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, and in other volunteer roles.

Henry graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in religion and an MPA in public and nonprofit management and is pursuing an MBA at the Citadel Graduate College. He is also an alumnus of the South Carolina Local Government Leadership Institute and the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.
